Freakin’ Economics 101 Lesson 1
After watching this video here – theblogprof – I’ve decided our liberal retarded children need a short simple lesson in economics. Very short, very simple. Even my cat understands this. But first, let the reader know, there has never been a tax hike in the history of the US Government or the State Governments that has wiped out a deficit. NOT ONE SINGLE ONE. Yet liberals and Democrats continue to pound the pulpit in favor of more taxes to eliminate or reduce the deficit. It doesn’t work!
Economics 101 Lesson 1. Many suggested taking money from the military or other not so needed programs and spend that money on social programs. Key word here is SPEND that money. SPEND. Let us look at the dictionary definition of SPEND from the dictionary on my laptop.
spend |spend|
verb ( past and past part. spent |spent|) [ trans. ]
pay out (money) in buying or hiring goods or services : the firm has spent $100,000 on hardware and software.
• pay out (money) for a particular person’s benefit or for the improvement of something : the college spent $140 on each of its students.
• used to show the activity in which someone is engaged or the place where they are living over a period of time : she spent a lot of time traveling.
• use or give out the whole of; exhaust : she couldn’t buy any more because she had already spent her money | the initial surge of interest had spent itself.
noun informal
an amount of money paid for a particular purpose or over a particular period of time : the average spend at the cafe is about $10 a head.
This means that money is going out from where it resides to someone else who takes it from the giver in return for a service. It has just been SPENT. It is gone. It is not saved. Now, let us look at a liberal’s idea of reducing the deficit. “F*** the military, take the money from the military and give it to social programs.”
Take the money from one and give it to another (sounds like Obama). How does that reduce the deficit? Liberals, listen closely. When you take money from one and give it to another you haven’t reduced or stopped spending, you are simply transferring the money elsewhere and are still spending.
Example 1:
You are about to file for personal bankruptcy. Someone tells you to quit driving that gas guzzling 10 MPG SUV. You think this is a great idea after you look at how much you spend on gas. Look, this will save you from bankruptcy! So you sell the SUV. Seeing how much money you are now saving you decide to buy an XBOX 360, the largest HD flatscreen made, and all the best games for the XBOX. You buy new clothes and furniture. You build that addition to the house you always wanted. WOW! COOL!
Then the bills come. You are in shock when you see that once again, you will have to file for bankruptcy because you have no money. You cry. And then you cry, “BUT WHERE DID ALL THAT MONEY GO? I DON’T UNDERSTAND! I QUIT DRIVING THAT SUV AND SAVED ALL THAT MONEY! SO WHERE IS IT?”
This is your homework assignment – please write an essay explaining where the money went and how you wound up filing for bankruptcy again. No limit to length, spelling and grammar count. Due by 2012.
