No Fence Walking, No Middle of the Road, No Compromise

Posted in Government, Patriotism, Politics by Wade Moline on May 20, 2009

RINOs in the Republican party are wimping out, still licking their wounds, taking salt and rubbing it into themselves daily from the November election of Barack Obama. These RINOs insist that the only way to wrest control of Congress from the Democrats is to be more like them and be less right, less conservative, and less Reagan-like. In other words, walk the fence and go with the popular issues rather than do what is right for the people. Isn’t that sort of what Obama is doing with our enemies; trying to be more like them to appease them so they won’t come after us? It certainly is parallel.

Some RINOs even go so far as to say we should continue to compromise with the Democrats for as long as possible and not fight them at all. Wouldn’t that be like compromising with Al-Queda? When your enemy is attempting to take away your liberties and your livelihood, you stand up and face them and don’t back down from what you believe in. You don’t cave and capitulate, you declare war.

This is where we are at now, war with the Democrats who want to turn us into a nanny state with limited liberties and limited free speech, the speech only being allowed if it agrees with the Party line.

Imagine; what if our founding fathers had backed down from the British Empire? They did their best to negotiate with King George and the British Parliament as we are doing with Obama and the Democrats now. The patriots of that time held a tea party as we are doing now. Instead of relinquishing, the Brits clamped down on the colonies and the people as the Democrats are doing today. Eventually, the colonies had to go to war. We the conservative people are the new colonies and it is time to go to war against today’s British Empire, the Democrats.

This means no compromise. This means no middle of the road. This means no fence walking. This means no capitulation. Our liberties cannot, under any circumstances, be frittered away, cannot be fettered. If we lose our liberties we will become sheeple with no allowance for individual expression or thought. We will be controlled by the political machine and will be slaves to our new master, the unyielding Orwellian authority of a dystopian, Socialist/Communist/Marxist dictator by the name of Barack Hussein Obama, AKA, The One.

Just say no! God gave us the wisdom to be free thinkers, let’s use that freedom wisely, justly, and for all Americans!

Colin Powell, is this what you want? If so, may I award you the Duh Me Award.

Where Have All the Patriots Gone? Part I

Posted in Government, Patriotism, Politics, Religion by Wade Moline on May 16, 2009

The photo in my header was one I took at the first Memorial Day parade in our town after 9-11. Everybody was very patriotic. Courtesy of the city, every single house had a small American flag on the front lawn. It was definitely the best Memorial Day parade I ever attended. Everybody was full of American pride. Nobody was ashamed of our country. The playing of Taps, the firing of the guns and playing the National Anthem were stirring, and for me they still are today. I haven’t missed a Memorial Day parade since.

What happened? Where did that patriotism go? Where have all the patriots gone? What happened to all those who proudly waved their flag on that Memorial Day? Did they simply become bitter and start clinging to their guns and religion and give up the fight for liberty? Or did they listen to the new attack waves of lies and deceit coming from the left, liberals, Democrats, and leftwing media moguls? I suspect all of the above.

Destroyed by the left in the last few years, is the belief that America is great. It didn’t really happen overnight as it seems; since the 1960s the liberal movement has been tearing away at our liberties with a fervid ferocity. However, within the last couple of years the leftist liberal movement has been accelerating the rate of decay of Life, Liberty, and Property. The pursuit of happiness has become the pursuit of making others happy at the expense of someone else. As Saulius “Saul” Anuzis of Michigan said on Fox News the other night, “The government can’t give anything to anybody without taking something from somebody else.”

Lately, I have seen some very intelligent people I know and respect turn dramatically to the left. They have forgone their values and beliefs in favor of what is politically correct and popular at the moment. These people change values so much they no longer have values of their own. The feel goodies have persuaded them that self is more important than God, country, and family, and taking from honest folks to give to lazy folks is the best shortcut to felling better about one’s self worth.

It is frightening the way the Department of Homeland Security has become an anti-patriot organization. Without question, Obama knew what he was doing when he appointed an unqualified Janet Napolitano to head that department. He is the puppetmaster that pulls her strings. This is just one example of government entities that are supposed to be politically neutral, but have turned against American citizens since Obama has been in office. This was not the intent of DHS; to accuse honest American citizens of being potential domestic terrorists who are simply exercising their liberties and inalienable rights that are guaranteed by The Constitution.

Inalienable. Just what does that word mean? In all dictionaries, the word means, rights that cannot be taken away, given away, or repudiated. While worded differently in different sources, the meaning is the same and very clear, cannot be taken away. Yet our inalienable rights are being taken away one by one as those in power fritter them away by giving US sovereignty to other organizations like the United Nations.

Where are the leaders in Congress that should be standing up with a loud and forceful voice against Barack Obama and his anti-Republic and anti-American domestic, foreign and economic policies? Why are they not uniting against the liberals who are taking away our free speech under the guise of a Hate Speech bill? Or how about Barack Obama side-stepping around our sovereignty and gun rights by slowly partnering with the United Nations?

Where have all the patriots gone? Where are those who would defend liberty, sovereignty, and The Constitution with vigor and determination? Where are those willing to put this country first over their own comfortable political careers? Who do we have?

We have ourselves! We must be the ones to carry the battle flag to Washington. Instead of sitting on our backsides and complaining about our elected officials who are doing nothing, we must get off our backsides and take those complaints to our elected ones. We must make our voices heard loudly and clearly. We must take the fight to them instead of them bringing it to us.

Not since The Constitution was written has there been a time in our history when our liberties have been so imperiled. Past presidents of the United States and the Supreme Court have trampled liberties, but not like the current generation of Congressional leaders. Led by a president that believes The Constitution has deep flaws, Washington, DC has stepped up the attack on the people, especially those who do not agree with our current leaders.

Is this not the same type of incursion our founders faced when they were battling the taxes and the harsh and tyrannical laws of the British Empire? I say it is. And I say we must fight back as they did, with bravery in the face of personal peril. Fight back with dauntless mettle against the malignant elected body of corrupt government. Fight back for life. Fight back for liberty. Fight back for property. Fight back against taxation without representation. Fight back for prosperity. Fight back for personal responsibility. Fight back for all the things we hold dear.

The states must ensure the protection of the people from the federal government. It was the states that created the federal government, the federal government did not create the states. Yet only a few of our states are just beginning to wake up to the fact that they have constitutional powers over the federal government. All states must take action now to ensure that the rights of the people and the rights of the states are not lost forever to the instrument of impending Socialism, our federal government!

Get into the fight now fellow believers in God, Country, and Family. Get into the fight before it is too late. Some say it is too late, but not yet, not yet. Only if we sit on the wayside and watch the opportunity to make things right go on by us will it be too late. Seize the moment, seize the day, seize the liberties we have and hang on. The ride will be rough, but the effort will be worth the cause. The cause of Continuing Our Liberty.

Part II – Coming soon.

The Fightin’ Side of Me

Posted in Patriotism by Wade Moline on May 13, 2009

I hear people talkin’ bad,
About the way we have to live here in this country,
Harpin’ on the wars we fight,
An’ gripin’ ’bout the way things oughta be.
An’ I don’t mind ‘em switchin’ sides,
An’ standin’ up for things they believe in.
When they’re runnin’ down my country, man,
They’re walkin’ on the fightin’ side of me.
Yeah, walkin’ on the fightin’ side of me.
Runnin’ down the way of life,
Our fightin’ men have fought and died to keep.
If you don’t love it, leave it:
Let this song I’m singin’ be a warnin’.
If you’re runnin’ down my country, man,
You’re walkin’ on the fightin’ side of me.

I read about some squirrely guy,
Who claims, he just don’t believe in fightin’.
An’ I wonder just how long,
The rest of us can count on bein’ free.
They love our milk an’ honey,
But they preach about some other way of livin’.
When they’re runnin’ down my country, hoss,
They’re walkin’ on the fightin’ side of me.

To Pro-Life Notre Dame Grads

If I were you I would go to the commencement ceremony, wait until Barack Obama starts speaking, then all get up and walk out en masse. Be seen and be heard! This will have a greater impact than simply not attending at all. Obama and those who invited him will have to take notice. So will the media, although the liberal left MSM who are in the tank for Obama will try to spin it.

Think of it as a Tea Party Protest. You want those who approve of this speech by Obama to know your opinions, so this is the best way to do it.

Conservatives, Republicans, and RINOS, Oh My!

Posted in Politics, Religion by Wade Moline on May 12, 2009

This is even more appropriate now than ever which bears my bringing it up again.

“What qualifies someone as a “real” republican for you, personally?” This question was asked of me via Twitter (when I first signed up). Made me think about it, so here goes in no particular order.

1. A real Republican enters office knowing he/she represents and works for the people, not the other way around. This person is not there for personal gain or using that position and it’s power for personal gain no matter what that gain is, power, money, fortune, fame; all are not sought, the goal is doing what is best for the country.

2. A real Republican does not believe in bigger and more intrusive government, but the exact opposite and strives for that goal with reasonable legislation that doesn’t override state’s rights and the rights of the individual.

3. A real Republican seeks less government spending not more.

4. A real Republican seeks to reduce taxes and penalties on businesses and make a more business friendly atmosphere to stimulate business growth. This also applies to personal income, especially for the working class and poor.

5. A real Republican stands against abortion knowing that it is murder and seeks to overturn Roe v Wade.

6. A real Republican stands against homosexual marriages knowing that it tears down the traditional family, one of the cornerstones of America that helps make this country what it is.

7. A real Republican listens to constituents, doesn’t curse them, throw them out of their office and tell them that tax “issues” are none of their business.

8. A real Republican is someone who has the courage to stand up for the values that they hold, and the values the party holds despite what the opposition is saying is better for the people.

9. A real Republican is someone who has the integrity to stand up and always do the right thing even in the face of adversity.

10. A real Republican has the honesty to admit when they are wrong and take personal responsibility for their wrongdoings, including stepping down from a position they have been elected to or appointed to when controversy over their actions will hurt Republicans and the Republican Party.

11. A real Republican will face the fire when they are right and not back down when they know what they are doing really is best for all.

12. A real Republican is not perfect, who is, and doesn’t act like they are and lets the world see that they are human after all despite what the Democrats say about Republicans.

13. A real Republican has faith in God, believes that God will guide this country, is not afraid to show that he/she believes in God, and uses prayer on a daily basis.

14. A real Republican stands firm, solid, faithful, true, and serves God, Country, and Family first in that order.

I may think of more later. Feel free to reply and discuss or add or argue!
