Power of Prayer
Late Sunday night I felt like I was having a heart attack. My blood pressure was abnormally high and I could literally feel my heart beating out of control. I was having dizzy spells and my chest felt like something was pushing against it. I was hot and sweaty then cold.
At the ER they kept me 24 hours for observation. They were trying to control my heart rate and blood pressure. Little success. I began praying hard. While I was praying the doctor walked into the room and stopped out of respect. Suddenly, with the doctor as witness, I felt a great calm and my blood pressure and heart rate dropped to normal. The doctor couldn’t believe it or explain it. I could believe it and explain it. What a great opportunity.
Diagnosis; too much stress in my life and too much coffee. I’m getting to0 worked up over the way this country is headed and drinking too much coffee the doctor said, after talking about why I was under so much stress. So I have cut the coffee to one cup in the morning and I am trying to not let the state of this country get to me.
Without question, praying calmed me down.
Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
