I’m A Terrorist!

Posted in Government, Politics, Taxes by Wade Moline on April 14, 2009

In the movie V for Vendetta, the main character, V, says, “A people should not be afraid of their government, the government should be afraid of the people.”

The Obama Administration is totally afraid of the people. So much so that the Department of Homeland Security is busy writing memos (pdf here)to law enforcement that pretty much say that anyone who believes in America and the Constitution as written by the writers is an extremist and an eye must be kept on them! Also, the DHS includes veterans returning home among extremists as well as anyone attending the Tea Parties to protest tax increases and Obama’s spending. Note: All rightwingers are considered potential terrorists! “The economic downturn and the election of the first African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization and recruitment.”

Even our heroic veterans are considered suspect, The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.” Obviously, the reintegration of vets is not significant enough for the government to help or assist them, but significant enough to put them on the list of potential domestic terrorists due to the possibility they might have problems reintegrating.

Also on the list are honest, law abiding gun owners. In the DHS papers is the mention of The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms.” Is this a forewarning that the government is about to radically restrict our legal right to own arms? It has to be coming, otherwise why would they worry so much, or are they over reacting to what they perceive gun owners and veterans might do?

It seems that the government is so afraid of the truth, and the people who believe in America, the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, the Federalist Papers, and freedom, government exaggerates the amount of violence rightwingers will use, even in contradiction to their own findings about violence by “rightwing extremists” as noted in the following statements;

Threats from white supremacist and violent antigovernment groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts (how can they be considered violent if they are not carrying out violence?)

Rightwing extremists have capitalized on the election of the first African American president, and are focusing their efforts to recruit new members, mobilize existing supporters, and broaden their scope and appeal through propaganda, but they have not yet turned to attack planning.

DHS is also saying that what we are saying is “propaganda.” Really? Loving America, believing in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights is propaganda? In the eyes of Democrats, the leftwingers, and socialists, it is un-American to love America and follow the Constitution. Nancy Pelosi even said that enforcing the laws of this country is un-American in regards to enforcing illegal immigration laws. Now, who is spreading propaganda?

The whole document is dangerous and is a gross violation of individual rights and freedom of speech. The document associates all rightwingers with hate, white supremacy, violence, and more. “Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely.  It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.” Even opposition to abortion and immigration (note the lack of the word illegal) is considered extremism.

George Orwell wrote the book 1984 in 1948, after World War II. His book (following is my opinion) is satire about the largess of government and how government uses this to make us more dependent on government until government takes total control of our lives and our thoughts, determining where we can live and what we can say and even think. Anything the government finds “distasteful” is gotten rid of. Ray Bradbury’s book, Fahrenheit 451, is very similar in thought. Anything found unacceptable is destroyed. 2002’s movie Equilibrium with Christian Bale is yet another example of a government utopia that is allegedly the best thing for the people.

Unfortunately, we are swiftly moving towards the type of government that inspired these books and movies. All these books and movies are based on socialist, fascist, communist, marxist, and totalitarian governments that have already existed, the most prominent being of course the old fallen communist USSR. Yet, it appears, the Democrats, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and DHS are taking us in that direction thinking that they can do what all other governments that have tried socialism/communism/fascism/marxism have failed to do; make them work for the people. The problem is, this path we are running down was never meant for the people, it was meant to control the people by governments that feared the people.

History has shown that those governments that tried all the -isms had leaders that were either fearful, or mentally unstable, or power hungry, or control freaks, or all of the above. In essence, none of them ever had the best interest of the people in mind, only the best interest of themselves and government. This is where Barack Hussein Obama lies. A power hungry puppet of the Democrat Party that loves socialism and has found in Obama the one person who can appeal to enough of the sheeple to make them follow their plans like lemmings over the proverbial cliff. As Sean Hannity says, we are in the Dangerous Age of Obama.

Scary, isn’t it?

Democracy, the worst form of government except for all the others that have been tried. Winston Churchill.

    Bill,

    I switched because I was having issues with blogger that they can’t figure out. Post dates disappeared, comments quit working periodically, the nice custom interface I was using came out weird looking etc. And I do like WordPress so far.
