More Problem Solving
If the government really wants to do something about greenhouse gases from flatulent farm animals then I have the greatest idea ever that will reduce emissions, provide unlimited alternative energy, and create jobs.
Give each farmer enough money to build a barn to hold all their cattle in. The government then hires contractors to build in each of those barns a device that will capture the methane produced by the cows and and convert it to energy. The government can then utilize and sell this energy to power our cities. It is all win win! The government gets it’s investment back, the farmer doesn’t get to pay an extra tax for each flatulent cow, and in fact gets paid by how much energy the cows produce, and all those contract jobs that will be needed to build the barns and the converters for methane-to-energy can be filled by the illegal aliens, uh, I mean all the Americans that have been put of of work when their jobs went to Mexico and Canada, eh?
Sounds good to me!
Problem Solving
Sent to me via email:
Everyone concentrates on the problems we’re having in this country lately: illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida …
Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems. It’s a win-win situation.
+ Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.
+ Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies.
+ Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border.
Any other problems you would like for me to solve today ? Yes!
Think about this one:
1. Cows
2..The Constitution
3. The Ten Commandments
C O W S
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow..
T H E C O N S T I T U T I O N
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq ….. Why don’t we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we’re not using it anymore.

The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this:
You cannot post ‘Thou Shalt Not Steal,’ ‘Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,’ and ‘Thou Shall Not Lie’ in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians…It creates a hostile work environment.
Apple, Some Days You Just Stink
Most times Apple is great. Sometimes Apple stinks. Sometimes they just downright suck. After all the hoopla surrounding a great new iPhone version 3.0 coming out today, it turns out it isn’t coming out today. It will have great new features, it will have everything everybody wants. But not today. Talk about disappointment. Talk about hyping the hype. Apple deliberately deceived people to get people to hype a product that isn’t coming out yet, treating it as if it were. Doom on you Apple.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Apple’s products and have been using them since 1987, but their hype philosophy is getting old. Their approach to homosexuality ticks me off, they are a company and as such had no business trying to help California’s Proposition 8 get defeated last year. Praise God they lost that one!
Apple’s philosophy is getting too aligned with Steve Jobs’ philosophy, very liberal and ME centric. Yeah, their products are great, especially the iPhone, but come on, hyping a product that isn’t even finished and ready yet as though it is going to be? Crazy.
As it stands now, I love my iPhone the way it is after jailbreaking it. Works perfectly, has the features I want. I just cannot buy into the hype anymore. This is ridiculous. Apple, bite me.

Conservatives, Republicans, and RINOS, Oh My!
“What qualifies someone as a “real” republican for you, personally?” This question was asked of me by JoeyFox1 via Twitter. Made me think about it, so here goes in no particular order.
1. A real Republican enters office knowing he/she represents and works for the people, not the other way around. This person is not there for personal gain or using that position and it’s power for personal gain no matter what that gain is, power, money, fortune, fame; all are not sought, the goal is doing what is best for the country.
2. A real Republican does not believe in bigger and more intrusive government, but the exact opposite and strives for that goal with reasonable legislation that doesn’t override state’s rights and the rights of the individual.
3. A real Republican seeks less government spending not more.
4. A real Republican seeks to reduce taxes and penalties on businesses and make a more business friendly atmosphere to stimulate business growth. This also applies to personal income, especially for the working class and poor.
5. A real Republican stands against abortion knowing that it is murder and seeks to overturn Roe v Wade.
6. A real Republican stands against homosexual marriages knowing that it tears down the traditional family, one of the cornerstones of America that helps make this country what it is.
7. A real Republican listens to constituents, doesn’t curse them, throw them out of their office and tell them that tax “issues” are none of their business.
8. A real Republican is someone who has the courage to stand up for the values that they hold, and the values the party holds despite what the opposition is saying is better for the people.
9. A real Republican is someone who has the integrity to stand up and always do the right thing even in the face of adversity.
10. A real Republican has the honesty to admit when they are wrong and take personal responsibility for their wrongdoings, including stepping down from a position they have been elected to or appointed to when controversy over their actions will hurt Republicans and the Republican Party.
11. A real Republican will face the fire when they are right and not back down when they know what they are doing really is best for all.
12. A real Republican is not perfect, who is, and doesn’t act like they are and lets the world see that they are human after all despite what the Democrats say about Republicans.
13. A real Republican has faith in God, believes that God will guide this country, is not afraid to show that he/she believes in God, and uses prayer on a daily basis.
14. A real Republican stands firm, solid, faithful, true, and serves God, Country, and Family first in that order.
I may think of more later.
I have been very busy as of late, so nothing new here, just have no time. I have decided to post things on Twitter, so follow along in the right sidebar. I am also having an issue with blogger not showing the dates of new posts. Or any of the posts for that matter. I have been through all the tips and techniques to restore the dates, but nothing has worked so far.
U.N. to make ban on criticizing Islam mandatory?
Expected proposal would criminalize such comments in U.S. – From World Net Daily
From the article -
The anti-defamation resolutions began with describing the “need” to protect Islam and in recent years has developed into a call for the protection for “religions” from defamation. However, the only religion specifically cited, in fact, is Islam.
All I can say is, Mohammed was a pedophile! It’s in the Qu’ran. In it he talks about marrying prepubescent girls and there is no greater pleasure than having sex with them. I’m not joking. Now, try and throw me jail for speaking the truth.
UPDATE: Read the following.
“Former Hizbullah Member Rami ‘Aleiq: We Used to Have Sex with Syrian Prostitutes after Signing Temporary Marriage Contracts With Them,” from MEMRI, March 3 (thanks to Jeffrey imm):
Following are excerpts from an interview with Rami ‘Aleiq, the former head of the Hizbullah Students Union at the AmericanUniversity in Beirut, which aired on Rotana Music TV on August 25, 2008.
Interviewer: “When you were young, you were a thug. You stabbed your sister with a knife because she didn’t want to wear the hijab. You were 14 years old at the time.”Rami ‘Aleiq: “Right.”
Interviewer: “You accused your family of apostasy, saying they were infidels and sinners. Such a criminal worldview in a teenager… Who shaped it for you?”
Rami ‘Aleiq: “First of all, I’m not sure I agree with the word ‘criminal.’ This is the product of society. It was shaped by the street. Three things influenced my personality, as they influence the personality of any teenager or child…”
Interviewer: “Stabbing is not a crime?”
Rami ‘Aleiq: “Taken by itself, it is a crime. But crimes have underlying social circumstances. I was just a child, a minor. [A child is influenced] by the school, the street, and his home. My home was moderate, and so was my school, but the street was overflowing with extremism. The influence of the street culture prevailed.” [...]
Interviewer: “After this, you secluded yourself for three days in an old church, you developed a desire to learn about Jesus and Christian teachings, and you performed Christian rituals. Were you baptized with holy water in accordance with Christian rituals?”
Rami ‘Aleiq: “Yes. I was baptized with holy water. I did this out of my own free will, but just to be clear, I did not convert from Islam to Christianity. I kept my Islamic faith, and still do. I added the Christian way to my religious practice, because I distinguish between religion and faith. Faith has no identity, and the goal of religion is to reach faith, to reach God.”
[...]
Interviewer: “Are you for or against sex before marriage?”
Rami ‘Aleiq: “I’m for it.”
Interviewer: “But all religions forbid this.”
Rami ‘Aleiq: “I think that the way this issue is viewed is subject to social development, and religions need to be aware of social developments.”[...]
Interviewer: “[In your book,] you write: ‘When I went on trips, I used to go secretly with several young friends to the Al-Marja neighborhood in Damascus. We would go to a hotel in order to have sex with prostitutes for 500 Syrian liras per half hour.’ To justify this, you write: ‘None of us would make physical contact with the girl he chose before signing a formal pleasure-marriage contract with her.’ Isn’t marriage meant to be out of pure intentions? Weren’t you conning God this way?”
Rami ‘Aleiq: “You’re right. Pleasure-marriage means conning God, as well as ourselves. I am against this way of relating to sex and to women.
[...]
“This is something that still goes on. It is wrong.”
Interviewer: “Back then you were an observant Shiite Muslim from Hizbullah, weren’t you?”
Rami ‘Aleiq nods.
[...]
Interviewer: “How did you ever dare to sign a pleasure-marriage contract with a nine-year-old girl?”
Rami ‘Aleiq: “In our culture, in order to be able to touch a girl or a woman, there must be a contract of pleasure-marriage.”
[...]
Interviewer: “We are talking about a nine-year-old girl…”
Rami ‘Aleiq: “Sure. In Islam, and this is what we were taught, a girl is mature from the age of nine. This is true with regard to Sunnis as well as Shiites. You are focusing on Shia Islam, because I am a Shiite, but according to religious jurisprudence, a girl is mature at the age of nine. This is where we got this idea. I was a child, and so was she, so I was not allowed to touch her, if I didn’t form with her the kind of relation that permitted this.”
Hit Me, Slap Me, Beat Me, Kick Me While I’m Down
Michigan Democrats have passed HB-4071 that grants LIFETIME benefits to legislators and other state (government) employees and government union members. LIFETIME benefits. What about those who don’t have benefits at all? As Nick De Leeuw (from Right Michigan) said in reply to me on Facebook, “Only if you’re a member of a government employee union or the legislature, Wade. Only then. The rest of us, apparently, aren’t good for much more than picking up the tab.” So right Nick, so right.
In other news, Jennifer Granholm wants a flexible gas tax that will increase the taxes we pay when the cost of fuel is higher. So, the more we pay, the more we will pay. Makes sense right? Make the cost of gas even higher when it goes up, cheaper when it goes down. Wait, I want it the opposite way. If gas goes down, I won’t mind paying a little more tax, but to pay a higher tax rate when the prices go up is just insane. This only hurts us little people. I know what she is thinking, when the cost of gas goes up, people drive less, they are more frugal with fuel. When gas was at $4.00+ a gallon people drove less, bought less fuel, therefore less taxes were collected. In her thinking, Jennifer wants to offset this loss by increasing the tax when the prices are high.
But wouldn’t the opposite be better? When gas prices are low, people drive more and are less careful with their fuel consumption. People buy MORE gas. So wouldn’t it make more sense to have a higher tax when prices are low? Not to Jenny. When prices are high people drive less, buy less fuel. The only thing a higher gas tax that drives prices even higher will do is make people drive and spend even less. Common sense, of which Jenny has none.
And oh, does anybody remember the fuel cost spike during and after Hurricane Katrina? I do. Jenny PROMISED us then that the next time the cost of gas went high she would have legislation in place that would bring down temporarily the gas tax to give people relief from high prices. Now she wants to do the opposite. So much for promises Jenny, empty, hollow promises.
