2 Must Reads by Cal Thomas

Seriously consider where this country is headed in regards to its enemies and morality, or lack of, as you read the two latest columns by Cal Thomas. I agree totally with his points in both columns, so rather than repeat his words, I will offer you the opportunity to read for yourself.

Great Local Effort In A Great Small Community – Vernon, Michigan

For decades the small community of Vernon, Michigan (pop. 900) has longed for a larger library than the 900 square foot one that shared part of the Vernon Township Fire Department’s Station 1. After three years of building, done mostly with donations of time and materials and donations of money, this small beautiful town with well kept lawns, Victorian style homes, and very low crime got its wish. Today, many of us (myself included) moved the books from the old library to the new one downtown.

From 900 square feet to 5,000 square feet. A big change for such a small town that has a super-friendly atmosphere. Everybody that pitched in had a good day and everybody worked hard. The disposition of the movers was as bright as the day. The sun came out and the rain held back during the book moving, though at one point the sky looked a little threatening. Community support, community volunteerism, and good people coming together to create something good for their community gives one pride in the community, and reminds us of what a great big heart this small town has and why it is great to live here and be a part of it.

At one time the town appeared to have no future, but Vernon has rebounded, mostly due to The Village Cafe that opened about two and-a-half years ago. This cafe, with an atmosphere as friendly as the town, has really been the cornerstone of Vernon’s revitalization that flies in the face of the rest of the state’s economic woes. But watch out for the waitresses. They will rally the patrons against you. As a regular, I get “Hi Wade,” every time I walk through the door. One day, all the people in the cafe said it as I walked in. That is just the kind of town we are.

Living In Iran – No Free Speech, No Surprise

I found an interesting video from PBS’s Frontline World detailing the hardships and dangers that Iranian alcohol smugglers endure. It was a very compelling video. In Iran alcohol is outlawed, but the black market alcohol business makes good money from illegal sales of beer, whiskey, wine, and champagne. One of the smugglers (the area the alcohol is picked up is just across the border in Iraq) interviewed was asked by the reporter why he keeps his face covered and what he thought a possible war with the U.S. would do to the hardships he endures now. The man questioned is a teenager and a Kurd.

I don’t think it will make any difference to the pain and suffering we endure, but if the regime changes it would be better for us. I’m scared of the Iranian government. Although we’re all Iranian we don’t have any rights or freedom of speech. I fear being arrested, tortured, or even being killed. That is why I have to hide my face.

Obama – Three Strikes and You’re Out With Otis Moss III

Obama must be wondering what in Heaven’s name is going on. Literally. First the Rev. Jeremiah Wright makes controversial statements, then Father Michael Pfleger, and now Wright’s replacement at Trinity, Otis Moss III. Just recently Obama said,

“Well, the new pastor, the young pastor, Reverend Otis Moss, is a wonderful young pastor. And as I said, I still very much value the Trinity community.”

Really? Obama values racist sermons? If Obama values this church and its racist speakers, we know all we need to know, Obama is a racist towards whites. And people want this man for president.

Sometimes You Just Gotta Love Bob Dole

This is the email Bob Dole sent to Scott McClellan, former White House press secretary, for the recent book that Scott wrote.

Scott,

There are miserable creatures like you in every administration who don’t have the guts to speak up or quit if there are disagreements with the boss or colleagues. No, your type soaks up the benefits of power, revels in the limelight for years, then quits, and spurred on by greed, cashes in with a scathing critique.

In my nearly 36 years of public service I’ve known of a few like you. No doubt you will “clean up” as the liberal anti-Bush press will promote your belated concerns with wild enthusiasm. When the money starts rolling in you should donate it to a worthy cause, something like, “Biting The Hand That Fed Me.” Another thought is to weasel your way back into the White House if a Democrat is elected. That would provide a good set up for a second book deal in a few years.

I have no intention of reading your “exposé” because if all these awful things were happening, and perhaps some may have been, you should have spoken up publicly like a man, or quit your cushy, high profile job. That would have taken integrity and courage but then you would have had credibility and your complaints could have been aired objectively. You’re a hot ticket now but don’t you, deep down, feel like a total ingrate?

Ehud Olmert: Land Give-a-Way and Scandals

At the least, Ehud Olmert, Israeli Prime Minister, should step down until the scandal he is “allegedly” involved in is over. Couple that with the land he wants to give away, he should not be Prime Minister. Too many Israelis have given their blood to keep Israel out of the hands of its enemies. Also, the lesson of giving previous land “back” to the Palestinians is lost on him.

Every time Israel keeps their word and gives up something for “Peace”, that peace lasts as long as it takes for the enemies of Israel to attack again. Israel needs a true leader that will stand strong against the enemies of Israel, not appease them. Time and again Israel has been attacked after coming to an agreement because the enemy never keeps their word. When Israel retaliates, they are attacked and vilified in the western main stream media propaganda that says Israel has no right to attack its poor innocent attackers.

Father Pfleger and Rev. Wright: Making Sure Racism and Intolerance Don’t Die

Racism and Intolerance Will Never Die.

With so many so called “Men of the Cloth”, like the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Father Mike Pfleger, making inflammatory and racists speeches (not sermons in my world) racism and intolerance will never die. Both aforementioned men are race baiters. They purposely stir up hatred and bigotry among all races for the sole purpose of making the news. They sashay and promenade themselves before the world to put the spotlight on themselves and boost their visibility. Their words are not meant to heal but hurt, their words aren’t meant to close the racist gap between blacks and whites, but render it further apart and create a wider rift. When people then spew hateful words towards these men, when they become vilified by the right-wing, then, in their minds they become proven right about their own intolerant venom towards the “white establishment.”

If they really want to do good rather than harm, if they really want to heal the hurt between blacks and whites, if they truly want to make a difference in this world then they would not rant and rave and speak intolerantly themselves. They would “Do What Jesus Would” and speak of His love and tolerance for others. They would practice what Jesus preached and that is to forgive others of their transgressions. They wouldn’t make insane demands for reparations for slavery that no one alive today took part of.

These two men are not preaching, they are not speaking, and they are not teaching the word of God. They have come under and fallen for the influence of satan, Lucifer, the Devil himself. Satan is laughing because this is the stuff he lives and works hard for. The Bible teaches us that these things these men are doing are wrong.

Proverbs 6:16-19. 16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

The Rev. Wright and Father Pfleger are sowing discord between brethren, in this case between blacks and whites. Yes any of us, no matter what our race, are brethren in God’s view when we accept that Jesus died for our sins and we accept Him into our lives and into our hearts and believe in Him.

Romans 5:8. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I am a 44 year old white guy. I am intolerant only towards intolerance itself. I hate racism, intolerance, and ignorance. I do not hate anyone of any race, but I do hate the things that people do and say, or what they believe in or stand for. This is the way my church and my parents raised me and I am glad that they did. I see the hate, racism, and intolerance people have towards other people based on race and it disturbs me and bothers me. The crimes against humans by other humans based on race troubles me and makes me angry. There is no valid reason on this planet or in Heaven to hate someone, cause harm to them, or wish them ill simply because their skin is of a different color. It is wrong, it is evil, and it sows discontentment, unrest, resentment, envy, and hate throughout the world.

Rev. Wright and Father Pfleger must stop their hostility towards whites and stop inflaming blacks and inciting them to hate whites. They must cease their intolerant ranting and raving and work together to bring together, not to divide. As long as they continue trotting down this path of discord and disharmony that they are on, there will never be an end to racism and intolerance, there will only be continued loathing and abhorrence between blacks and whites that is harmful to both races and harmful to the United States of America.

I truly believe that the Rev. Wright and Father Pfleger want it this way so that they can continue to spew their venom and hatred and be in the spotlight of controversy. They can be in the spotlight, but for good not evil purposes and they would be more respected. But that would garner them less attention when it is more attention that they want, on themselves, instead of the problems of racism and the problems racism causes or on how to heal the racist rift that divides blacks and whites in this country.

Shame on you two men, I can only pray that someday you will see the light and be able to sleep at night.

Father Pfleger is Racist White Priest – He Is Against His Own People

Watch this video, it will make you sick that there are so called priests like this Father Pfleger who treats his own race like scum of the Earth. He says that all white people should pay for the slavery of our ancestors. He is very anti-white. Maybe he needs to look in the mirror. It is people like “Father” Pfleger who keep the race wars going. Guys like this make white people dislike black people, and make black people dislike white people.

And I thought Hagee was bad.

With a threat destined to make liberals come out and vote for Obama and make conservatives quiver, Susan Sarandon has publicly announced that if Obama doesn’t get elected, she will move out of the country. Oh no! Well, Obama has my vote for sure now. The queen of lefty Hollywood elitists has spoken, and she even complains about the feminists complaining about her not voting for Hillary just because she is a woman,

“I’ve got a lot of flak from feminists who feel that I should be supporting Hillary Clinton, but I thought the whole point of feminism is that you’re not supposed to be defined by gender. It’s a critical time, but I have faith in the American people. If they prove me wrong, I’ll be checking out a move to Italy. Maybe Canada, I don’t know. We’re at an abyss”.

An abyss? Yes we are at an abyss, an immoral one that has nothing to do with the war and everything to do with Hollywood. So, Susan can move to any place she likes and I won’t vote for Obama just to keep her majesty from leaving. But really, instead of whining about how things are and making speeches, why don’t all these Hollywood elitist lefties actually do something? Because in truth, they are as weak and appeasing as Jimmy Carter.

It really is sad to hear the Hollywood elite rant about things they know nothing about like they are experts on the subjects. Never mind what the real experts say, I’m a famous actress/actor so I know better than the rest of the country. So run for president then! The real scary part is, too many Americans who get caught up in the hoopla of Hollywood actually believe these people speak the truth and know what they are talking about.

Sarandon also goes on to say,

“If McCain gets in, it’s going to be very, very dangerous.”

What is going to be very, very dangerous, the United States of America for terrorists? I hope so. All the quasi-Socialist/Fascist/Communist Hollywood elite left-wingers need to move out of the United States of America if they hate it so much. Maybe they can pool their resources, buy a third-world country that needs money, infrastructure, and food and they can rule it their way and see how long they last when they go to appease their enemies.
